George H. Weymouth
Passed Away Friday of Last Week

A long and active life ended when George H. Weymouth died last Friday. Mr. Weymouth was an especially vigorous man, and enjoyed the best of health until a few days before his death, when he contracted a congestive chill that led to other complications, and ended in his death.

He was born in Maine, and came to California twenty-two years ago. He lived in San Diego a number of years, and the family came to Healdsburg about five years ago. Mr, Weymouth brought his family to the coast from Maine in 1884, settling in Washington, where he was engaged in the logging business for a number of years.

He left his wife and four children— George B. Weymouth. Mrs. Fred Boulden and Mrs. Jennie Plass of Healdsburg, and Mrs. Edith Hensel of Washington. He was a man of upright character, and had made many friends in this city who were sorry to learn of his death. He was seventy-four years old at the time of his death. The funeral was held Sunday from the undertaking parlors of T. G. Young, and the body was laid to rest in Oak Mound Cemetery.

After a lingering illness Mrs. M. G. Simpson of this city passed from this world to her reward in the next last Saturday afternoon at her home here.

Mrs. Sophia Adel Mulling (sic) Simpson was born at Sacket Harbor, N.Y., April 23, 1853. At the age of 14 years she moved with her parents to Nerlsville (sic), Wisconsin, where she was united in marriage to M.G. Simpson on July 4th 1870.

To this union four children were born, Claude, Mattie, Frank and Lawrence. Two boys, Claude of Ocheyedan and Frank of Des Moines and the husband survive to mourn her loss, also a brother in California and a sister in Washington.

Genial, sprightly and social in her disposition, she was loved and respected by all who knew her. Her decline in health was gradual and lingering and she peacefully fell asleep in the faith which has been her support during all the years of her long and beautiful life.

Relatives from out of town attending the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Lee Striegel of Fort Dodge, Mr. and Mrs. Ben Imhoff of Manson, Mr. and Mrs. Lester Farrand of Manson, Mrs. Sam Furman of Fort Dodge and Clarence Root of Wyoming.

The funeral was held from the M.E. church Monday afternoon, Rev. E. E. Clements conducting the services. Interment was made in Cedar cemetery.

Chesterville. - Nov. 15th, Mr. Lemuel Bursley, aged 81 years.

Mr. B. Was esteemed bye all who formed his acquaintance. He fulfilled the duties devolving upon him as citizen, neighbor, husband and father as a christian-and his end was peace.-Though his pains were severe during many months of sickness, he endured thermal with christian patience - being perfectly reconciled to his lot. His frequent expression while exercised with excruciating pain “How good the Lord is,” gave evidence that he had support from above in his conflicts. May his examples of sobriety and uprightness bye followed by all.
