    • Death of Mrs. Simpson
      --
After a lingering illness Mrs. M. G. Simpson of this city passed from this world to her reward in the next last Saturday afternoon at her home here.

Mrs. Sophia Adel Mulling (sic) Simpson was born at Sacket Harbor, N.Y., April 23, 1853. At the age of 14 years she moved with her parents to Nerlsville (sic), Wisconsin, where she was united in marriage to M.G. Simpson on July 4th 1870.

To this union four children were born, Claude, Mattie, Frank and Lawrence. Two boys, Claude of Ocheyedan and Frank of Des Moines and the husband survive to mourn her loss, also a brother in California and a sister in Washington.

Genial, sprightly and social in her disposition, she was loved and respected by all who knew her. Her decline in health was gradual and lingering and she peacefully fell asleep in the faith which has been her support during all the years of her long and beautiful life.

Relatives from out of town attending the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Lee Striegel of Fort Dodge, Mr. and Mrs. Ben Imhoff of Manson, Mr. and Mrs. Lester Farrand of Manson, Mrs. Sam Furman of Fort Dodge and Clarence Root of Wyoming.

The funeral was held from the M.E. church Monday afternoon, Rev. E. E. Clements conducting the services. Interment was made in Cedar cemetery.
