  • Notes
    • On April 6, 2019, Nancy Duvall Byler wrote, “Yes, my dad got custody of me in 1947. Doesn’t that say a lot? Anyway story is he then brought me to TX in 1948 and left me with mother’s mom...My Granny! She was 64 when she took me in! Oh, Lauren, how I wish I could talk with her one more time...little did I realize just what she must have gone through. We lived on her stepson’s WW 1 pension, which I know was $33 a month, before it went to $75!
She was to good for her own good! Her kids never appreciated her, and I know now she lived a very unhappy life....maybe I did a little to help makeup for how her kids treated her!
Know you didn’t ask for all this, but I wanted to share...GRANNY WAS MY ANGEL ON EARTH! Not sure what would have happened to me if she hadn’t been there for me!”
