      The descendants of Amos Day, a settler in this area in 1783, gathered on Sunday, Sept. 7, for a reunion at the home of Miss Lucille Day, at the Day View Camps, RFD 3, Plattsburgh.

      Mr. Day, a native of Middletown, Conn., settled the land then known as Port Jackson. He was a great-grandson of Robert Day who arrived from England in 1635 to settle at Ipswich, Mass.
