  Beatrice’s daughter, Hazel, married James Robert Parnell, who was featured in the paper for his museum-quality artifacts and other items he had in his home. Dad recalls when he met Mr. Parnell and the incredible collection he’d had, including Joseph’s prized ruby. He said he didn’t have the heart to ask for it back because they had cared for Joseph and done his funeral arrangements while he was gone.
